RCA Custom Recording

Post by 13104P1 »

RCA Custom Recording, of London, is one of the cutting studios covered in the November 1979 issue of Studio Sound. There, Pete Norman and Dave Tucker cut the RCA catalog of records that were released in the United Kingdom. They each had a room - Suite A and Suite B - that was identically equipped, featuring a Neumann VG66 lathe, Ortofon DSS 731 cutting head, and Ortofon GO 741 cutting amps. Master playback was from a Studer A80 'prelisten' machine. A standard A80 was also in each room.
